Lodge-based adventuresExploring shorelines
and islands by sea kayak, canoe or boat is a great way to
experience the Boreal Forest and observe the abundant
wildlife.
You
can hike to several abandoned gold mines left over from the
world's third-largest gold rush - the Red Lake Gold Rush of
1926.
In September, join us for moose-calling where we attract
bull moose out into the open for photos. We also listen for
wolves howling and watch the great migrations of waterfowl.
Late September is a great time to visit when the foliage of
aspen and birch turn infinite shades of gold and orange while
the ground cover turns scarlet. Nothing smells as delicious as
the crisp morning air seasoned with pine and wood smoke in
camp.
