Bring
a healthy appetite when on the American Plan
Scrumptious
meals are served in the lodge dining room three times a day to American
Plan guests. The meals are as much to look forward to as the fishing.
The food served in Bow Narrows Camp’s dining room is comparable to that
of a "high-end" restaurant. Our suppers, in particular, are something to
write home about. With the
exception
of “indoor shore lunches” shown at right, which are buffet style, all
meals are sit-down where you are served by a waiter or waitress. At
supper, the entree of the day is served along with bread or hot buns, a
different salad each day, vegetables and finally, desserts to die for.
The kitchen staff is adept at accommodating people with sugar-free,
pork-free, low-fat and other diets.
Breakfasts are your choice of any or all of the following: eggs any way
you want them, pancakes, French toast, bacon, sausage, cereals, fresh
fruit, orange juice, toast, coffee, tea or milk. There are several
options for lunch: 1. Come back to the lodge for a hot entree like
chili, soup and sandwiches, 2. Take a shore-lunch box and cook your own
fish out on the rocks, 3. Have your own fish cooked by the kitchen staff
and eat it in the dining room and 4. Take sandwiches, cookies, fruit and
a beverage in a bag lunch. The kitchen staff does such a great job
preparing your own fish that we now schedule two “indoor shore lunches”
each week. These popular meals are more elaborate than the ones you
would prepare on your own. The fish is supplied by you. You catch it, we
clean it and cook it and you eat it! Better schedule a nap after lunch
on those days!
